Abstract
This research seeks to explore the potential of Dungeons and Dragons (D&D), a popular tabletop role-playing game, for therapeutic use in treating clients with Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD) and sexual trauma. It provides a comprehensive review of the literature, identifies the potential benefits and risks of using the game for therapeutic purposes with this population, and develops a framework for using it in a therapeutic setting. The findings of this research will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the treatment options for CPTSD and will provide a valuable resource for clinicians and therapists who are interested in using D&D to treat clients with sexual trauma.
