Heaping praise: Rock senior co-captains Jackie Altenweg and Shelbey
Wardman both received honorable mention for PS AC-West player of the week.
The Rock split a pair of decisions, defeating Clarion and falling to PittJohnstown. Altenweg averaged 22.0 ppg and 4.5 rpg while Wardman averaged
21.5 ppg and 5.0 rpg for
the week.

and Wardman have

echelon of The Rock’s

season. As this chart
shows, Wardman and

Freshman forward Stacey Green’s 17 points and 17 rebounds and freshman
guard Nicol Ellis’ 19 points off the bench were not enough. The Rock defense
looks to step it up against Megan 21itner and Krystal Henson, who both scored
24 points in the previous meeting.
Playoff implications: The Rock is currently sitting in third place in the
PSAC-West division. It is still possible to win a share of the regular season
crown if The Rock would
win its final two games
and California would lose
its final two.
