Item Description
Transcript: A.C. Morgan. 318 Ambulance Company, 305 Sanitary Train, American Expeditionary Force France. Oct. 18, 1918. Dear Dr. Waller: Have just returned from the front lines for a rest. We shall wait until the division goes in, but in any case it does not, we have seen all and shall be satisfied. Have experienced something I shall never forget. It has left one indelible impression. Expect to be home shortly so well not ruin my story until I see you. Saw Arthur Jones and Earl Swartwood yesterday and they both asked to be remembered to you. Undoubtedly everything in the States is in an uproar now over the peace proposition. We are all excited ourselves, but shall not return until it is over in the right way. The Huns sure did shell our medical aid station, however I am glad to be alive. I am in the best of health and looking forward for better days. Will close for the present with fondest regards. As ever. Arthur C. Morgan - A. C. Morgan. American Expeditionary Force France, Soldier's Mail O.A.S. Dr. D. J. Waller Bloomsburg Normal, Bloomsburg, Pa., U.S.A. 1st Lt. M.C.U.S.
