Item Description
Dr. Bruce Adams, Professor of Geography at BSC (right) is shown displaying a pen set made from gorge which is a hollow rock formation believed to be made from either volcanic action or deposition of minerals in rock crevices. Looking on - Left to right - are: Lee Hopple, Associate Professor of Geography; Dr. Robert C. Miller, Chairman, Committee on International Education; Dr. Dalmo Pontual of the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil. Dr. Adams and his brother made the pen set incorporating a piece of walnut wood that had been rubbed down smooth as satin.
