Clyde S. Noble, left, associate professor of chemistry at BSC, and Dr. Norman White, chairman of the Department of Chemistry, are shown beside the gas chromatography apparatus which was provided by the Gulf Oil Corporation as a gift a year ago and will be extensively used in conjunction with the $5000 grant just received from the Education Committee of that corporation. This instrument separates and identifies very small amounts of chemical substances.
