Transcript: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. December 4, 1918, Professor F.H. Jenkins, State Normal School. Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Dear Sir; Today the ever welcome B.S.N.S. Quarterly arrived and, as usual, all other duties were dropped until it had been read from cover to cover. There was so much news in it about old friends, that I thought perhaps you would be interested to hear of a former B.S.N.S. student, George H. Howard, who is now in France. He was commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant on the 18th of July. He was in the battle of the Argonne Forest where he was slightly wounded, after which he continued fighting for ten days, when the wound became infected and he was sent to base hospital #62, but before going was examined for 1st Lieutenant. Wishing the school every success, I am Sincerely, Mac L. Howard ’07. 3125 Diamond St. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
