Transcript:Â Squadron "D". Ellington Field. Houston, Texas. September 25, 1918. Dr. D.J. Waller Jr, Prin. Bloomsburg S.N.S. Bloomsburg, Pa. Dear Sir, I have made applications for the entrance into an Officers Training School for the Infantry. I must secure three letters of recommendation and it would be a great benefit to me if I could secure one of such from you. I was a member of the 1920 class until I dropped out in the spring of 1916 to enlist into the military service of the United States. Thanking you for the attention shown this matter.
