Item Description
Transcript: Revised 1/2 1919- Junedale, Pa. December 27, 1918. My dear Dr. Waller: Was very sorry that I couldn’t see you and have a chat with you while in Bloomsburg but hope to be able to do so soon. I had a very interesting talk with Professor Hartline while there. I was very glad to get back to see Normal and that everything is running smoothly. You asked me to send you my address, I will get my mail if you send it to Junedale, Penna. and any favor that you can do for me will be greatly appreciated. I suppose you know some of my experiences since I enlisted. I have had 8 weeks ground school course at the University of Texas which takes in all things concerned with flying. Then three months work at Columbia University in Wireless Telegraphy and Telephony. From there I was sent to the flying school at Waco, Texas. Professor Hartline can tell you of some of my experiences while there. When I see you I will be able to tell you of more of them. If you can do anything for me in the line of a position I will greatly appreciate it. Respectfully yours, Hugh E. Boyle ‘17 Junedale, Pa. Boyle ‘17
