    Note

Counterattack begins this week by charging the Army with supporting American National Theater & Academy, an alleged communist front.  John Houseman, Howard Teichmann, and Alfred Drake are among those accused of supporting the "Red Fascists."  The newsletter contends that the Soviet Union is financing foreign Communist parties, especially the French revolutionaries, and is actively seeking to split the alliance between France, the United States, and Great Britain.  Other items for discussion include attacks on the loyalty orders, the convention of a communist front (the American Committee for the Protection of the Foreign Born), and the idea of forcing communists out of the unions by declaring the Communist Party a dual organization.
