Abstract
This heuristic self-enquiry explores the interplay between the identity development of an art therapist and the cultivation of a growth mindset. Through an in-depth analysis of my personal art journal, relevant literature, and peer-reviewed articles, this study seeks to understand the dynamic relationship between professional identity formation and the adoption of a growth-oriented perspective. Central to this investigation is the concept of 'El Duende,' serving as a crucial data collection tool that captures the essence of artistic expression and personal introspection. By reflecting on my experiences and insights as an art therapist, I aim to uncover the transformative processes that contribute to professional growth and resilience. This research not only highlights the importance of self-awareness and reflective practice in the field of art therapy but also provides a framework for other practitioners to enhance their professional development through a growth mindset.
