RES LIFE REMINDS STUDENTS OF HOUSING CLOSURES DURING
THANKSGIVING BREAK

Thanksgiving break begins Wednesday, Nov. 27. Residence Life reminds students living in
university housing of the following dates.
On all PennWest campuses, residence halls will close at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. All residents
must be out of their building at this time unless they receive prior written permission to stay. The
residence halls will reopen at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1.
Reinhard Villages exception: Students living in Clarion’s Reinhard Villages are permitted to stay in
their apartments during break without requesting permission. Watch for an email with information for
Reinhard residents.
Classes resume Monday, Dec. 2.
Students must complete the Thanksgiving break application if they: are required to stay on campus
for university-related reasons; are unable to vacate by 6 p.m.; cannot vacate at all; need to return

before 2 p.m. Dec. 1. The break application is available through Nov. 21 on MyPennWest Housing
and Dining Portal under “Contracts/Request Forms.” Please note that a nightly fee of $50 may apply,
and no one will be permitted to stay without prior written approval from Residence Life and Housing.
