HOMECOMING 2024 NEARS WITH FUN-, FOOD- AND FOOTBALLFILLED WEEKEND

PennWest Clarion invites students, faculty, staff. administration and alumni,
along with family, friends and the community to celebrate Homecoming 2024.
Clarion Homecoming traditionally coincides with Autumn Leaf Festival, in its
71st year and this year themed Flavors of Fall.
Friday, Oct. 4
Homecoming kicks off Friday with the popular Kronospan Farmers and
Crafters Day, which offers handmade crafts and goods from more than 250
vendors from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Main Street.
Saturday, Oct. 5

Family and friends can start the day at the Open House with President
Anderson from 9 to 10 a.m. in Moore Hall. Stop by to meet PennWest
President Jon Anderson and see the progress on the historic Moore Hall
updates.
Get a helping of Homecoming spirit at breakfast with everyone’s favorite
Golden Eagle. Eggs with Ernie will serve breakfast bites in the Hart Chapel
parking lot, where family-friendly activities, information tables from various
areas on campus, and commemorative 2024 Homecoming pins will be
available. This event, which runs from 10 a.m. to noon, is free.
Beginning at 11 a.m. and running continuously until 4 p.m., a free shuttle bus
between Hart Chapel and Memorial Stadium will be available.
The Independent Health Systems Tournament of Leaves Parade – one of the
festival’s longest-standing traditions – steps off at noon and will proceed down
Main Street.
Alumni and friends can enjoy the Eagle End Zone Alumni Party, starting at 1
p.m. at Memorial Stadium. Enjoy appetizers and beverages while watching
the Clarion Golden Eagles take on the California Vulcans; the game begins at
2 p.m. Tickets are $25/person and includes game ticket plus food and
beverages through halftime. Registration is required, except for football
alumni.
Football alumni are invited to the Golden Eagles Football Reunion, held in
conjunction with the Eagle End Zone Alumni Party. A special tent, exclusively
for football alumni, will be set up. Cost is $25/person, which includes game
ticket plus food and beverages through halftime. Registration is required.
Golden Eagles football alumni are invited to join fellow players at the Eagle
End Zone Alumni
The brothers of Alpha Gamma Phi will have an All Greek Mixer from 7 to 10
p.m. at Clarion Moose Lodge. Enjoy music and appetizers. Last year, this
event brought 16 different fraternities and sororities with over 200 people
attending. Cost is $15/person. Registration is required.
Black alumni events
Clarion Folk Homecoming Activities is an additional slate of events designed
for Black alumni. A discounted registration fee of $75 will cover all of the

events. Alumni who aren’t able to attend the entire weekend may select
individual events. Register here.
Friday, Oct. 4
Network with Alumni will mingle and connect with current students and alumni
from 7 to 10 p.m. in the Gemmell first floor rotunda. Light hors d’oeuvres and
beverages are included. Cost is $25/person.
Saturday, Oct. 5
Members of the Divine 9 will celebrate their time at Clarion during the Black
Greek Tailgate in the parking lot of Memorial Stadium. The group will set up
tents with food and music. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy reconnecting with old
friends and connecting with current students. This event is free; time to be
determined.
Join us at 1 p.m. under the Alumni Association tent for the Eagle End Zone
Alumni Party. The $25 registration fee covers a ticket for the football game,
and unlimited food and beverages through halftime.
The Cabaret & Alumni Business Showcase is a night of connection, creativity
and dancing from 7 to 10 p.m. in Gemmell MPR. Dinner and beverages are
included; cost is $35/person.
Sunday, Oct. 6
Activities will conclude with a Sunday Worship Service at 11 a.m. at Hart
Chapel. This event is free.
