Interhall Council Minutes
September 5, 2019
Role Call Executive Board:
President-Kaylee Olszewski
Vice President- Tyler Krow

Approval of Previous Minutes
The minutes were approved as presented.
Reports:
Advisors: Those living in campus housing, room reports are due tomorrow, try to
turn in by tomorrow at 4.
Generosity Feeds is still looking for help for Friday.
President-
Volleyball Tournament out in Reinhard is in the works
Office hours will start next week.
We will not be having a meeting on ALF week.
Themes for CGT need to start being brainstormed
Officers send headshot to Kaylee before next meeting.
Vice President- Welcome to all the new members!!
CFO- updated numbers9,028.22 current senate money
10,500 self-support
NCC & NFC- The CAACURH conference will be happening November 8th-10th at
Pittsburgh University. The deadline for registration is October 9th (opens up on
October 3rd). We have a delegate cap of eight students this year. There is no current
information on payment methods, parking, or location stay.
Social Media Recruitment- Promotional ADs are in the works for Volley Ball. Once
we have CGT information in the works, we want to put it on flyers, TV in resident

halls, etc. Advertising all halls and hall council meetings. Work on talking to more
Ca’s and doing a possible event with them.
Programmer- Clarion’s Got Talent stuff will need to start being finalized. We will
potentially be doing auditions the last week of October at three different times. We
will not be allowing video submissions unless the person cannot meet an audition
slot. We will be asking Jayda (won last year) to be a judge this year.
Philanthropy- Daffins candy bars, Scotty’s donuts, king crunch, Stromboli’s, etc.
Old Business: N/A
Uab is going to be doing tabling during bingo.
#Clubs supporting clubs through student senate to try and get more clubs
working together
The University was approached to assist with Generosity Feeds which will hold
an event in the MPR on Saturday, September 7th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and
they are looking for help. This project is meant to pack meals for school age
children so they have something to eat over the weekend when they would not
have access to free or reduced priced meals at school. This is an ambitious
endeavor needing many volunteers.
Organizers for the event are looking for the following help.
Friday, September 6th:
-Afternoon- need 10-15 people to help unload the truck
-10:00 PM – 1:00 AM- need 30 people to move boxes to the MPR and set the
space up for Saturday
Saturday, September 7th:
Looking for 300 volunteers to assist with the meal packs
New Business:

Bri- SAFE representative came to campus this week and the idea has been
presented to do a drive for women’s products to donate.
Dale- He is going to be doing a bath bomb and soap program in three floors of
Valley View. Kits at Walmart are very expensive, so they are going to be
getting more materials separately. He is asking for $250. The program would
be Sunday at 7. All are welcome.

o Kaitlyn motioned that we provide $250 for Dale’s event, Tyler
seconds.
o All in favor 10, 1 oppose, 2 abstention
Tyler- Volleyball tournament
o Need 1 referee
o Snack table
o Cooler with drinks
o 3x3 for teams
o 6 pm
o We need to check about volley ball teams
o Sign-up sheets need to be posted in Reinhard
Tyler- We should make a rewards program to encourage attendance to
meetings
o Non- e-board members can be put in
o Maybe a $50 dollar gift card bookstore or Amazon.
o Have to be in attendance at final meeting to be able to win.
o Possibly extending hall council meetings, would have to talk to ACs
about funding
Bri- What are we doing forward with the parking proposal?
o Hendershot took one of our suggestions to creating the upper parking
lot into a mixed lot.
o Possibly working on parking prices?
o Car pool pass?
o Should we use north parking lot as a reduced cost or free parking lot?
o Request for how the money is being used to improve campus.
o Check handicap ramp on north
Announcements:
Town is having a welcome back block party on Friday at 6th avenue from 6-9. There
will be music and festivities.
Make sure to vote for the Student Senate Elections. Ballot ends Friday at 11:45 PM.
