Cell Culture – Don’t touch the outlets that the incubators are plugged into! An incubator got
unplugged to charge a phone, be conscientious of what you are unplugging!
Prep Room – Please don’t put your lab dishes into the prep room sink! We are not responsible
for cleaning research glassware.
Rat Room – Introducing new mice into the breeding line.
Bd – Looking into cryopreservation for our fungus, planning for experiments after break.
BTV –
Acetaminophen –
Dental Biofilm – Got great growth using Brain Heart Infusion media and looking at the formation
of biofilms on the teeth over periods of time.
Anti-Biofilm – Chose 12 strains of hospital isolates and looking to use the anti-bacterial agent
from the Compound P precipitate.
Compound I – Did a biofilm assay but plans to repeat.
Compound P – Killing test on the hospital isolate and pushed columns. Out of 9 isolates that
grew, Compound P killed 7 and inhibited 2.
HSC – Looking into density gradient centrifugation for isolating different species of cells.
Annexin 1 – No fluorescence scope so at a standstill for now.

CPUB Abstracts due to Smith by March 20th, submission date is the 26th.
The CPUB packet with all the information was just sent out to the Smith Lab email list. Check it
out to get all the information.
Going to pick up equipment from Barnes Center TODAY at 3:30!
