Cell Culture – All is good, scope is being left on so be sure it is getting shut off. Dr. Dias’s
research team changes the objective lens and the contrast lens so be aware of that and change
it back as needed!
Prep Room – Keep an eye out for extra pairs of oven gloves! We are done to one pair, all sets
should be in the prep room bench
Rat Room – Rats’ breathing is reduced so we may insert new genes into the breeding line.
Bd – Got our new fungus in and Plans to immunize against the new strains to get new
hybridomas!
BTV – Finishing purification of their virus to study its apoptotic mechanism
Acetaminophen –
Biofilm – Got lots of teeth in a jar, yay. Got their cultures growing, frozen down and growing
again!!! Plan to look at growth patterns of their biofilms on different materials
Compound I – Revived the stocks from last semester and is preparing to do a biofilm on contact
lenses after confirming the species of bacteria.
Compound P – Compound P suggests CHECK YOUR REAGENTS before you run an experiment!
Did a prep and ran out of their reagent and burnt their pee :(

Congrats to Alex and Kaesi for their Grad school interviews!
Scott lab has had some things being stolen (Lab equipment, personal items). Discussing covering
up the window of the lab door.
