Project updates:
Stem Cell: Immunofluorescence this weekend
Compound P: Distillation with new column soon
Bd: Running Immunoprecipitation tomorrow
Rat Room: There are currently 23 rats. If you need a rat, preferably take the males from the
bottom two rows.
Frog Updates- DON’T TOUCH the frogs in the rat room!!

Health Careers Club will host a meeting on Monday, March 21st at 5 p.m. in STC 123
– An Optometrist is coming to speak to students about many things including: schooling,
experience, the field, and practicing optometry in this area. This isn't a meeting just for
students interested in Optometry. Ask about anything, not just optometry.
-The Health Careers Club is also going to be sponsoring a CPR training session that is going to
be FREE OF COST! There can be a total of 15 people to sign up for the session so it will be first
come first serve. If there is a large amount of interest in attendance they may be able to
expand the size of the session with some added cost to students. They are planning on having
the session on Saturday April 9th, 11am-1:30pm. Sign up by March 25th. If anyone has any
questions please feel free to email Wes Schettler at W.J.Schettler@eagle.clarion.edu .
CPUB is coming up – April 16th at Millersville.
-Abstracts were due to Dr. Smith before break, but if you haven’t yet submitted it, you may
still submit it to him by Monday at the latest!
-To check things required and register please go to http://academics.sru.edu/cpub/ . The
registration link is on the right-hand side. Registration is free for students. If you wish to eat at
the college, Lunch is $10 and the Dinner Banquet is $20. There are a few restaurants and a
Sheetz not far from Millersville’s campus, if you choose to eat elsewhere. Friday April 1, 2016 is
the Deadline for REGISTRATION and ABSTRACT submission.
-You can also look into getting a Travel Grant so you may be reimbursed for gas and such.
