Minutes of the University Activities Board
Clarion University Of Pennsylvania
Tuesday, November 8, 2016

I.

The meeting was called to order by Schuyler Caffrey at __7:31__ PM on November 8,
2016 with the following board members present:

Approval of minutes of the regular meeting of November 1, 2016
- A motion was made by __Kayla Handy___, second by __Vickash Sasenarine___, that
the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as distributed.
• Motion carried: 9-0-1
Open Forum
- Help with November 18th event
• Dakota Roberts volunteered to help
- Policy Procedure Handbook
• Submit long-term and short-term goals
• Community building
• Help with events
• Reach out to committee members to help with events
- One on ones
• Chairman coming to support others



IV.

Set a number of events for chairman to attend that do not include the events
that one personally plans
- More team bonding events
• Potlucks, bowling, hiking
• Beginning next semester, plan one event a month to help build community
and team bonding within the group
- Secret Santa names to be pulled next week and to give gifts on last meeting,
December 6th
• Cap budget is $20
- Next week bring school schedule to plan next semester’s meeting time

Slippery Rock intern, DeWayne Anderson, will be starting tomorrow
• He will be helping in the Marketing department
• Will be in the office on Wednesdays and Fridays
Christmas Parade
• Please keep in mind the date of the float and preparation of it
• Make sure that people are committed to the event
Next semester event ideas
• Jan. 28 Lazor tag
• Dave and Buster’s style of event
• Get events scheduled and planned for spring calendar

Tech Advisor Report:

Clarify tech needed for Thanksgiving Extravaganza
Karaoke machine is now working
Collaboration with UAB dance, bring in outside group- to be determined

• Get rid of the events or make a change
• Remove from EFSN calendar, program on a Freelance schedule
• Reallocate funds to other programs
• Relaxation Wednesdays?
