Dear Clarion APSCUF Sisters and Brothers,
We made it! The end of the semester is here. I’d like to take this opportunity to express
my gratitude to the members of our tireless Meet & Discuss team and the members of
the Executive Committee for all their work during this unprecedented semester, and to
Jan Walters for always being there as the office manager and as a friend.
I wish everyone a restful and relaxing break and a holiday season filled with peace, love,
and joy; in whatever form it may take in this challenging year. Stay safe and healthy and I’ll see you in
2021!

A REMINDER to the new Fall 2020 Part-time Temporary Faculty:
If you were a new part-time temporary faculty member for the fall 2020 semester and are returning to
Clarion University for the spring 2020 semester, please contact Jan Walters in the APSCUF office
in January 2021 for a PA Faculty Health & Welfare Fund enrollment card. YES, you do qualify for partial
vision and FULL dental coverage for you have fulfilled the obligation of serving one semester of the
previous three semesters.
NOTE: THIS IS NO COST TO YOU WHATSOEVER! Just one of the benefits negotiated in APSCUF’s collective

New instructions for Nominating Petitions will be forthcoming in late January 2021. If you would
like to run for positions on APSCUF Offices and Committees and/or University-wide Contractual
Committees in the General Spring 2021 Elections, please check out the upcoming local Clarion APSCUF January
2021 Newsletter for election information and open positions. Please consider running for the available
positions.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
CLARION APSCUF 2021 FALL SCHOLARSHIPS: Applications are now
being accepted for the Fall 2021 Clarion APSCUF Scholarship to be awarded
to six (6) Clarion University students. Any student wishing to apply must be currently
enrolled at Clarion University with a minimum of 3.2 QPA following completion of the Fall 2020
semester. Eligibility, instructions and application can now be downloaded at www.apscuf.org/universities/clarion .
Deadline for submission is Friday, March 19, 2021 @ 12:00 pm.
