HEAD COACH
Dr. Louis Mingrone, professor of biology, was instrumental in the return of soccer
as a varsity sport at BSC two
years ago. After a 20-year absence of the sport on campus,
he initiated a club team in 1974
that posted a 2-4-1 record.
In 1975 when soccer was
named BSC's 14th varsity
sport, Mingrone posted a respectable 4-5-1 mark
with his young squad. He improved to a 6-5-1
record in 1976.
A native of Dormont, Pennsylvania, Mingrone
received his degrees from Slippery Rock State
College, where he lettered in soccer, Ohio
University, and Washington State University.
Accommodating and in his coaching assignments, Bloomsburg is fortunate in having an
individual of his calibre behind its soccer
program.
