''Huskies''

OUTLOOK
Senior Terry Maher, last year's number one man, heads a
group of four returning lettermen from the 1972 team which
recorded a 5-10 season log.
The other regulars from last year are two-year letterwinner Bernie McHugh, junior Mike Kuglow, and sophomore
Tom Lotournous.
Coach Chronister is looking forward to the play of a
number of freshmen which come to Bloomsburg State with outstanding high school backgrounds. Pete Law, a native of Athens,
Pa. was one of the outstanding high school players in his section
of the state. Also, competing for positions will be last year's
"Number One" players from two local high schools, Tom Brown
of Bloomsburg, and Bob O'Brien of Central Columbia.
The Huskies will again be playing their home matches at
the beautiful Frosty Valley Country Club at nearby Danville.
This outstanding course. provides the swingers of "Husky State"
and their guests with a challenge to play championship golf!

COACH
CHARLES CHRONISTER joined the faculty of Bloomsburg
State College in 1971 as head basketball coach and is in his
second year at the helm of the Husky stickmen.
A native of East Berlin, Pennsylvania, Chronister attended
Bermudian Springs High School where he was a standout athlete.
He matriculated at East Stroudsburg State College and played
varsity basketball and baseball for the Warriors. He earned both
his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Health
and Physical Education at ESSC.
Prior to coming to Bloomsburg, he held coaching positions
at East Stroudsburg S.C., Hanover High School, and Gettysburg
College. This past season he led the Husky basketball team to the
most successful season in recent years. Although ~is main area of
coaching has been in basketball, he is a low handicap golfer and
will be of invaluable assistance in directing the Maroon and Gold
stickmen.
Chronister is married to the former Carol L. Strausbaugh of
Hanover, Pa. They have two daughters, Lee Ann, age 5, and
Garyn Lynn, age 3. The Chronisters reside at 1248 Old Berwick
Road, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania
