Replaced the faculty bulletin; added a masthead (1974); includes messages from the
president, different campus offices, school schedule for semesters (registration, when
classes begin, holiday breaks, final exams, and commencement), upcoming social events,
reports, administrative decisions (budget, new hiring, enrollment figures, job openings),
undergraduate chemistry program approved (1974), constitution of BSC representative
assembly, library hours, new residence halls, federal/research grants, activities calendar,
sports schedule; revised in 1978; proposal for revision of newsletter in 1980; BSC to
become university (1982); college newsletter changes to university newsletter (1983);
shuttle bus service (1983)

Includes social events, grants, positions available, retirements/appointments, sporting
events, piece done on nuclear war, “in memory” section, commencement, recognition of
certain faculty members, BU enrollment, “BU Notes” section, “See You There…”
section (added in 1987; highlights upcoming social, athletic, and art exhibits), special
issue devoted to Draft Governance Structure for Bloomsburg University (1987),
“Personnel and Labor Relations” section (added in 1987), and administrative decisions
(budget, tuition, policies, and more)

A shorter summarized version of Communique that was issued daily via email; includes
faculty recognition (retirements, promotions, appointments, and openings), social and

things going on around campus or in town
