Bloomsburg Players Books and Registers, 1938-1966
Box 1:
Book 1
Minute Book
September 1938 - January 1947
Book begins with a revised version of the Constitution of the Dramatic Club, a listing of
the public performances for the 1938-1939 academic year, and then continues to regular
meeting notes. Taken down by the secretary of the club, each meeting starts with
approving last meetings notes. A short description of the play that was shown during the
meeting and any other items that were addressed. When executive members switched
there was also a record of the nominees and then the selection for the following semester.
Book 2
Account Book
February 1947 - May 1964
Financial Account Bloomsburg Players book, includes the record keeping for monetary
transactions. Includes the collection of dues from members, and funding from different
organizations like the College Government Association. Outgoing money went to things
for play supplies, picnic supplies, and the Dramatic Play Service to pay for the rights to
productions. There are no notes from regular meetings.
Book 3
Attendance Register
1964 - 1966
Strictly records the attendance of the 250+ members of the Bloomsburg Players from the
fall of 1964 through the Spring Semester of 1966. On days that meetings were not held,
there is an indication as to why in the space where attendance was taken.
