OUTLOOK
It appears that the 1980 season should be the best at BSC since
the sport began four years ago. Coach Jan Hutchinson lost five
regulars from last year's team but still has a strong nucleus returning in seniors Carolyn Bartoni, (shortstop), and Sally Houser
(1st base); juniors Bert Spezialetti (3rd base) and Jay Mitroka
(centerfield); and sophomores Chris Kaza I (catcher) and Sue
Kelly (pitcher).
An extremely talented group of freshmen will add strength
to the Husky team. Some top newcomers appear to be North
Penn's Donna Bonfiglio (1st base & pitcher), Oley Valley's
Beth Rohrbach (shortstop), Dunmore's Sue Hicks (outfield),
Schulykill Valley's Gail Gerberich (catcher), Bishop O'Reilly's
Cheryl Sedlak (2nd base) and Penn Argyl's Roni Grube
(1st base).
The team shows strength in both base running and hitting
but its major strength lies in the exceptional field defense.
The BSC softball team will be looking for not only a fine
season record but also a bid for the Pennsylvania Conference
Championships and the EAIAW Division Ill Regional Championships .

interscholastic sports program and served as head coach of field
hockey, basketball and softball. Her softball coaching record while

championship finals.

coach for the BSC softball squad. Ms. Constable is a graduate of
BSC, receiving her B.S. in speech pathology in December 1975
