Dear Mother:
I now have in my possession travel-orders to the “Old U.S.A.” We leave here at 9:20
Thursday morning and embark for Brest at Liverpool sometime that day on the transport
“Plattsburg.” I do not know how long we shall be held up at Brest. I hope, not long. I will not
make this letter longer, except to say that we are all glad to get started towards home. I suspect
this letter will please you more than any other I have written.
Your son,
Guy.
