How to Be A Garage Sale Guerrilla
Did you know that on almost any given weekend across the country,
someone is holding a garage sale, conducting an estate sale or selling items at
auction? The old adage, "one person's trash is another person's treasure"
makes these events a great opportunity for an antique or collectible-literate
person to spot real treasures among the offerings, which they can later sell at
a handsome profit. Learn the ultimate secrets to buying, selling and
researching antiques and collectibles in a competitive environment Friday's
evening session will concentrate on identification and valuation (the fine art of
spotting treasures among the trash) and methods of liquidation. Saturday,
assigned teams will compete in a "treasure hunt" to area garage sales to
search for "sleepers. " Please sign up early, enrollment is limited to 20
participants.

Future plans may include a concert hall and dedicated teaching areas for

To fund these activities, a generous grant from the Boys and Girls Club of Erie,
Inc., was received in year one. Since then, fundraising efforts have included
