ACADEMIC INTENT
The Warren Campus is a two year branch campus of Edinboro
State College. It offers quality general education courses lead
ing to a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor
of Science in Education Degree. Students can earn up to 64
credit hours.
PERSONAL INTENT
The establishment of the Warren Campus in 1962 meant an
educational opportunity for persons in the Warren area could
be had at nominal cost. The campus supports this idea today.
Its intent also is to provide quality education through small,
personalized classes. Attention to the individual student’s
needs is of prime importance.
LOCATION
The Warren Campus is located on a 200 acre tract of land, 5
miles north of Warren, Pennsylvania, Route 62. A fourteen
classroom academic building with student activity areas and
an administrative building are two present structures. The
campus is landscaped with beautiful wooded and open areas.
COMMUNITY
Warren is a northwestern Pennsylvania community of 15,000
persons. Its colonial heritage is today stimulated by Kinzua
Dam recreational assets of boating, fishing, water skiing, and
swimming. Excellent schools, a fine public library and a vari
ety of cultural activities complement the town.
ACCREDITATION
The Warren Campus is accredited by the National Council
for the Accreditation to Teacher Education and' the Middle
States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Credits
may be transferred to Edinboro State College, Main Campus,
or to other colleges and universities in the United States.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. General scholarship as evidenced by graduation from an
approved high school or institution of equivalent grade
or equivalent preparation as determined by the Creden
tials Division of the Department of Education.
2. Scholastic ability indicated by the following:
a. a recommendation from high school officials to do
creditable college work
b. a satisfactory rating on the Scholastic Aptitude Test
of the College Entrance Examination Board
c. a satisfactory command of English as shown by rat
ings and standard tests
d. an official transcript of satisfactory high school achievement
3. Personal recommendation from high school officials indi
cating integrity and appropriate personality
4. College approved medical certificate to be completed by
the applicant’s family physician. No student shall be ad
mitted who has, in the opinion of the college, disabilities
which would impair his professional service.
5. Social Security Number
6. Personal interview if deemed necessary by the Admis
sions Office
7. A $10 application fee made payable to the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania. This should accompany the formal ap
plication form which can be obtained by writing to the;

SPECIAL STUDENTS^
Persons seeking personal and/or professional enrichment
may be admitted as non-degree students. The Scholastic Apti
tude Test score and high school transcript are not required. A
maximum of 32 credit hours may be earned at 2-6 credits per
semester.
A $10 application fee must accompany the special student
application form.
COLLEGE CALENDAR
The college calendar is based on a two semester system, the
first semester beginning in September and the second in Janu
ary. Classes are scheduled between 11:00 A.M. and 8:45 P.M.
weekdays.
There is also a six week summer session. Classes at this
time are held between 4:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. weekdays.
FINANCIAL AID
Students may apply for an Educational Opportunity Grant,
National Defense Student Loan, College Work-Study, Pennsyl
vania Higher Education Assistance Agency Scholarship, or a
Guaranty Loan. Write to the Warren Campus Admissions Office
for further information.
HOUSING
The Warren Campus has no dormitories. Housing is private
and is the responsibility of the student. The college helps by
providing a list of available housing in the Warren area and a
housing booklet to aid the student in locating suitable living
accommodations.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is the responsibility of the student. There
is no public bus transportation outside Warren Borough; there
fore, a student is permitted use of his own car. (PHEAA re
cipients must notify the scholarship agency.)
STUDENT ACTIVITIES
The Student Government Association plans social functions
throughout the school year. Inter-collegiate basketball, golf,
theatre arts, newspaper, yearbook, chorus and special interest
clubs are available.
The Zodiac, popular coffee house, offers students a meeting
place in downtown Warren. It is sponsored by the college and
Warren Ministerial Association.
