is the featured speaker for this year's annual all-sports j
banquet.

Recognition of Athletes
Under Carril's direction, Princeton has won 69 cage
contests while losing 33 in his four years at the helm.
His first Tiger team won 20 games and lost 6, bowing in
an Ivy League playoff to Columbia. The following year,
he led the Tigers to an Ivy League title and an overall
19-7 mark.

A native of Bethlehem, Pa., Carril graduated from
Lafayette where he captained the 1951-52 quintet. For
his efforts on the hardcourts that season as a guard, he
was named to the Little All-America team.
The Princeton mentor began his coaching career at
Easton High School and then moved to Reading High where
]ae con5)iled a seven-year record of 145 victories against
/but 42 defeats. During that time his teams won the
chan?)ionship of Central Pennsylvania twice and captured
two District III titles. His final team at Reading won
25 straight before losing in the PIAA Eastern playoffs.
