county agent agreed to reserve a slide show for us that provides
a retrospective look at farming.As well,he provided a film cat­
alogue that I reviewed.Nothing included looked really appropriate.

indicated he and his staff had other commitments on 25 Jijly;however,
he did provide a certain amount of statistical information on Erie
Co.scene.By way of example,the average dairy farm milks from 46-48
cows.In his words,our area farmers are locked into the dairy Industry.
He sees no replacement for it.

Questions:
I--S?e heard it suggested that the farmers of this immediate area
are locked into dairy farming by a number of conditions.Do you agree
or disagree.lifl so,what are those conditions or realities.Do you see
the prospect of any future replacement for the dairy industry.What
continuing and futureddemands will the industry make on area land
use.
