cutback in recreation
Rhodes said, “I was up there
today and watched the traffic
and I think the three are the
solution.”
Council moved to give Dr.
John Marsh, project director
for “The Rural Experience in
Northwestern Pa.: Yester­
day, Today and Tomorrow”,
a letter of intent to commit
$500 to the project.
The project includes a
detailed study of the Todd
Goodell farm, Edinboro, an
example
of
Victorian
agriculture.
The Goodell materials will
be presented at a public
fonun. Three area farmers
will respond with a view
farming today. A tour of the
featured farms will be in­
cluded.
Materials prepared for and
presented at the meeting will
be preserved and distributed
in three cassette-filmstrips
and in a half-hour public­

program. The program will
be prepared and edited by, the
staff of the Edinboro State
College television studio.
Sponsoring the program
are Edinboro State College,
the Borough of Edinboro and
the Conneauttee Historical
Society.
An announcement was
made that Council Member
Caroline Rhodes had been
appointed to the Governor’s
Justice Committee for a term
ending December 31, 1979.
Several complaints were
directed at Police Chief Jerry
Phillips about dogs roaming
the streets at will. A letter
was read from Dr. Florek
about the dogs and if the
borough had. enacted an
ordinance protecting
residents from the problem.
