Mr. Hausknech t had a day off during vacation. He took his family to
the home of his parents near Williamsport .
Th e campus is already beginning
to turn green. Dan Creveling and his
men have combed it. We may well
be proud of .our grounds . They have
always looked fine. Let us. however ,
not forget our part.
The r ep a irs t o t he Sch o ol are w ell
under way. During vacation the fire
tower to be erected in the annex to
the dining room was started. - The
partitions have all been removed. The
tiles are now being laid. It will be
only a few days when the steel stairs
will be erected.
The second fire tower in the other
end of the building has also been
started . This tower will also be completed before commen cement.
The towers are both fireproof. This
will make it possible to remove some'
of the outside fire escapes. The one
at the trunk landing will soon be removed.
During vacation the doors in North
Hall and in the Girls Dormitory were
provided with Yale locks. These locks
ma k e it possibl e for the s t uden t s t o
feel' more secure in their rooms. In
addition it makes it possible to keep
out all intruders. These locks are
very welcome . Locks hav e be e n a
crying need for years.
The boys are out for. baseball. For
some time they have thrown and
caught the horse hide. The prospects
for a good season are bright.
