ALMA MATER
Bloomsburg State
We proudly sing to thee
Of glories and of honors
That have framed thy majesty;
Though we'll depart
Not one will hesitate
To pledge his lifelong loyalty
To Bloomsburg State!

Bloomsburg State,
Stand proud against thy foes,
Let victory thy colors see
While honor be thy goal;
Maroon and Gold
Let none thy fame berate,
As forward on to victory

1927, and authority was granted to offer the degree, Bachelor of Science in Education. In 1960 the institution
became Bloomsburg State College, with authorization to grant the degree, Bachelor of Arts, for liberal arts
programs in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. That same year graduate study was authorized.
The college currently offers 62 baccalaureate and one associate degree programs in the Arts and Scieences, Business, and Professional Studies. Teacher certification is available in 20 undergraduate program
