To the Editor:
We believe the women of LHS
should hold the same privileges
as the men on this campus. However, due to the apathy, it h a s
been hard to obtain these privl e g e s . Several women now, though
are trying to change this.
We feel that the women on
this campus should have 24 hour
open dorms on the weekends just
like our male counterparts. We
have gotten the impression that
Lock Haven is a sex-oriented campus and this has put misconceptions in the minds of some of the
women. These women think that
guys
will be wildly running
through the halls and it will be
an invasion of their privacy. THIS
13 NOT THE WAY IT WILL BE!
We have proposed that for 24
hour open house on weekends in
a women's dorm the following
would hold:
1. All men must be escorted
at all times.
2. After hours guys will only
be let in when escorted by a girl
and let in by the security guard.
3 . Each girl can only escort
one male into the dorm.
4. Any guys wandering around
the dorm will be asked to leave.
5. Floor managers will be
chosen to keep order.
Now, this doesn't sound all
that bad does it? Don't be selfisheven if you don't have a guy now,
who knows - you may before the
years is over.
As for your privacy - c a n ' t
you walk t o the bathroom with
your robe on? After all, how many
girls walk around the dorm in their
underwear?
Come on, women, give u s
your support in making Lock Haven a progressive college rather
than a regressive one!!!

To the Editor:
We believe the women of LHS
should hold the same privileges
as the men on this campus. However, due to the apathy, it h a s
been hard to obtain these privl e g e s . Several women now, though
are trying to change this.
We feel that the women on
this campus should have 24 hour
open dorms on the weekends just
like our male counterparts. We
have gotten the impression that
Lock Haven is a sex-oriented campus and this has put misconceptions in the minds of some of the
women. These women think that
guys
will be wildly running
through the halls and it will be
an invasion of their privacy. THIS
13 NOT THE WAY IT WILL BE!
We have proposed that for 24
hour open house on weekends in
a women's dorm the following
would hold:
1. All men must be escorted
at all times.
2. After hours guys will only
be let in when escorted by a girl
and let in by the security guard.
3 . Each girl can only escort
one male into the dorm.
4. Any guys wandering around
the dorm will be asked to leave.
5. Floor managers will be
chosen to keep order.
Now, this doesn't sound all
that bad does it? Don't be selfisheven if you don't have a guy now,
who knows - you may before the
years is over.
As for your privacy - c a n ' t
you walk t o the bathroom with
your robe on? After all, how many
girls walk around the dorm in their
underwear?
Come on, women, give u s
your support in making Lock Haven a progressive college rather
than a regressive one!!!
