The laxwomen could only
produce 17 shots on goal all
game. "We had no oppor-
tunity to challenge their goal-
keeper,” Woolston said.

Though they lost by four
goals the defense played
well. Netminder Missy Wal-
ters stopped 17 of the 33
Kutztown shots. Defensive
wing Diane Kilty played well.
“She maintained good defen-

sive position and hustled all
game,’’ the Head Coach said.

It was only the laxwomen'’s
second loss of the season. The
score didn't indicate how well
they played. “"There wasn't
any major errors, just a lot of
small errors, kind of a snow
ball effect,” Woolston said.
The quote fit the weather
nicely.

The 1982-83 school year at Slippery Rock State College may be remembered as one of the greatest in terms
of athletic successes. A total of 21 SRSC athletes representing 10 different sports have attained the high

Laxmen remain
undefeated at 8-0

The Slippery Rock State
College men's lacrosse team
upped their record to 8-0
over the weekend with two
more wins to lead the Alle-
gheny Lacrosse league.

The Rockets won their se-
cond overtime in as many
weeks when the Morgantown
Lacrosse club finally folded,
8-7.

Senior Dennis Roberts
scored his fourth goal of the
game 2:16 into the overtime

Morgantown Club as he did
against Pitt last weekend. De-
fenseman Tim Davis and mid-
fielder Brian Kump also
added stopping Morgantown.
