A solitary hand creeps a-
round the curtain. The thief
enters the room. He glances
about seeking an object of
"genuine value” in this room
of pretentigus elegance.

This is the opening of the
one-act play, "Sham,” being
performed in Sheehy Thea-
tre. The play, a social satire,
deals with a thief who enters
into a house where there is li-
terally nothing worth steal-
ing. The owners interrupt
him as he is pondering his di-
lemma.

gance by Shawn Inlow. With
his smooth talking veneer, he
manages to convince the ow-
ners that they should give
him something to take to save
their social standing.
The owners are Clara and
Charles. Michael Bares plays
JUMPING
the role of Charles as the co-
wardly, yet distinguished
husband, who is one of the
only genuine articles in the
room.
Marjorie Hardenburg is
cast as the indignant wife,
who is only concerned with
preserving outward appear-
ances. The part of the re-
