his alma mater April 29 to present a
seminar in room 336, Vincent Sci
ence Hall

speaking on Biblical prophecy on
Tuesday, April 26 at 8 p.m. in Dodds
Hall Lounge
Slippery Rock State College Gos
pel Choir will present its annual
Spring Concert on May 1, at 1 p.m
in the Newman Center. Open to all
interested
Bartman's seminar on, "Inerting Ra
dioactive Waste Liners.”
Upon graduation, Steve Bartman
worked 12 years in Chicago analyz-
ing air and water for radioactive pol
lutants. Presently, Steve is employed
at Three Mile Island as a Nuclear
Chemist. He has been involved in
much of the cleanup analysis of ra
dioactive materials found in the large
volumes of contaminated air and
water within the damaged reactor
building. Part of Steve's responsibili
ties is to monitor the effectiveness of
ion exchange resins in the cleanup
His seminar will begin at 1:30
p.m. Students interested in talking
with Steve Bartman may do so alter
the seminar
Financial Aid
A hearing examining the problems
that students have with financial aid ,
is set for Tuesday from 1 p.m. to §
p.m. in the College Union Multipur
pose room
The hearing is sponsored by CAS,
with SGA assistance and will consist
of students from Western Pennsyl
vania and Ohio giving testimony to a
hearing panel. This panel will cofisist
of such individuals as Ms. Susan
Croll of the U.S. Department of Edu
cation, Tom Fabian of PHEAA, and
Dale Ekas, SRSC Financial Aid Dir-
ectory
Mike Burk, hearing coordinator,
stressed the importance of the hear
ing saying that it gives the students
an opportunity to be heard across the
nation. He added that that results of
this hearing will be a part of a larger
report on financial aid to be distnib
uted to the Department of Education
Congress, and other higher educa
tion policy makers
This hearing 1s one of the 14 laun
ched at select locations across the
country by The United States Student
Association and the National Student
Educational tund during Apnl and
May
Burk said that anyone interested in
giving testimony on Tuesday should
