Abstract
The first film by George Keller documenting the Bloomsburg State Teachers College. Called “Alma Mater,” it illustrated a cross section of campus life by showing teacher preparation in process, extra-curricular college life and social activities, as well as views of buildings and campus scenes. Filmed in 1936, the Keller’s feature premiered in Carver auditorium, with organ accompaniment, at the 10th annual Kiwanis-Rotary College Evening on March 11, 1937.

Footage of Bloomsburg State Teachers College art professor George Keller at his Jungle Farm along Berwick Road in Columbia County, PA. In addition to a pony ride with daughter Jane, it features a variety of animals, including a coatimundi, lynx, snapping turtle, armadillo, porcupine, opossum, leopard, crow, eagle chicks, adult golden eagle, vulture, monkeys, and dogs. The film concludes with a wind storm that destroys the tent, to the interest of a caged mountain lion.
