Caption reads "Decorations of Philo Anniversary, May 15, 08, C.V.S.N School, Shippensburg, PA" and has photographer's log on bottom right. Philo was the Philomathean or 'Philo' Literary Society, an early student group at CVSNS. Verso of postcard depicting Philo decorations with handwriting "Lloyd B. Shoap '08".

The caption reads "Main St. Shippensburg, Pa." Attached to postcard rector is date "Sept. 19. '06 - "\nVerso of postcard depicting Main Street, Shippensburg, and addressed to: "Miss Kate E. Grove Pennington [New Jersey]". Bottom left handwritten cursive transcription: "E glantine"\nTwo post office stamps on verso. Both on right.
