Abstract
The mental health challenges and needs within the queer community are multifaceted and often influenced by social, cultural, and systemic factors. Addressing these obstacles requires a comprehensive approach that addresses systemic barriers, promotes societal acceptance and inclusion, and provides tailored mental health support and resources for queer individuals. This paper examines the potential of tattoos as an inclusive form of care that bridges the gap between minority health disparities. Tattooing as an art therapy intervention holds promise for addressing mental health issues among queer and trans populations by reclaiming personhood amid oppression.
