Procedure No. 50.002 Policy on Degree Recognition Date Issued: 03/01/00 Date Effective: 02/07/00 Issued By: Academic Affairs Purpose: To define requirements for official recognition of degrees in University publications and in daily use of professional or educational titles. Policy: Clarion University will only recognize degrees earned by employees from regionally or nationally (including international institutions) accredited institutions. In order to have a degree recognized an employee must submit an official transcript to the Office of Human Resources. The Office of Human Resources will advise an employee, in writing, if the degree will not be recognized.
