Dr. Fenske came and spoke about her experience with Model UN Club. 1. The ability to work with large groups and demonstrate her speaking and networking skills has only helped her in her career 2. Model UN gives you real-world application in regards to networking and building relationships 3. There is a competition mind-set to it 4. Dr. Fenske prepared with a mock session and turned in research periodically to make sure she was on the right track B. Dr. Fenske’s Resources: 1. Committee Resource Guides 2. Position Paper guide 3. Meeting with the Debate Team for tips and pointers C. Dr. Trejos will be going this year to look into paralleling a course with our current club. She has received a grant to attend this year to network with other professors. D. We may invite professor Lyle closer to conference to go over speaking with large groups President’s Report A.
