I.

Advisor’s Report
A. This is the Club’s 6th year. Dr. Trejos has gone to the conference before, and will
be going again this year. She hope to start a class. This will put your preparation
at a higher level., as well as incentivizing the club’s success.

II.

President’s Report
A. The club is registered for the New York NMUN Conference, and the check will
be sent in the mail tomorrow (September 12, 2018).

III.

Vice President of Service’s Report
A. We will not be doing the booth at ALF. However, just because we are not doing it
this year, we may do it next year.
B. Erin reached out to United Way for more information on volunteering for the 5K.
They asked us to make signs with supportive messages in different languages.
There is a sign-uplink that will be sent out later in the week. The 5K is September
29, 2018 at 9:00AM.
C. The club will also be partnering with ABLE’s CU Day of Service. While we hope
that you participate in the CU Day of Service, the club is only requiring that you
help advertise. We will be chalking on Tuesday, Sept 25, 2018 in place of our
normal meeting. On Tuesday, October 09, 2018 we will paint the apple in place of
our normal meeting.

IV.

Treasurer’s Report
A. The total cost of the New York National Model United Nations trip is $7,172.00,
which breaks down to around $512.29 per person. This is why fundraising is so
crucial.
B. The Yankee Candle fundraiser is going on we will send out the link again. We
receive 40% of all sales.
C. We will be canning this weekend, Saturday, September 15, 2018 and Sunday,
September 16, 2018 from 11:00AM until 2:00PM.
D. There is a new escape room in clarion, that is willing to partner with clubs by
doing a fundraiser similar to a Dine to Donate. They allocate a day, and then a
percentage of the profits from that day would go to Clarion Model United
Nations.

V.

Secretary’s Report
A. We must vote on the constitution tonight. Motion passes no abstentions.

VI.

Next Meeting
A. We need two more guys to fill a room, so please recruit some friends!
B. If you didn’t pay dues this week, please pay dues next week.
