Sept. 30 Meeting Minutes President: Dr. Lee is not accepting grant submissions this semester. Yankee Candle Fundraiser is officially OFF. Unfortunately that program was discontinued so the club must find other means of fundraising. We are looking to focus more on the spring semester and spring conference fundraising at this point. We might need to be open to taking less people than the 14 goal for the NYC conference depending on recruitment. We are looking into grants and allocated funds from Student Senate to help cover costs for the Spring conference. Treasurer: Due to lack of grant money, the cost for the D.C. conference will be $95 out of pocket for individuals that wish to attend. We are looking into new online fundraiser options with the advent of the Yankee Candle Fundraiser loss. Secretary: A recruitment message has been drafted for the club. Our $48 registration fee is non-refundable, but we can still adjust the numbers of members attending if people still wish to attend of they wish to drop out. We believe it is better for the club, as a whole, to focus our energy on the NYC conference in the Spring for recruitment and fundraising and respect the decisions of all individual members.
