Lash Out. BYLAWS ARTICLE 1 - NAME. The name of this organization shall be Lash Out of Clarion University. ARTICLE 2 - PURPOSE. We are forming this organization because we feel passionate about makeup and skincare. The benefits of this club will be learning new techniques about makeup, learning new tips on skincare, and finding friendship within the club. The biggest goal for this club is have a safe and comfortable environment for all genders to create their own art. People should want to join this club for the positive nature of it and for all the new and fun learning experiences. Our primary purpose is to spread knowledge about makeup and skincare, to have a positive atmosphere, and to have more social interaction in the college community. ARTICLE 3 - MEMBERSHIP. The qualifications for joining this club are: You must have at least a 2.0 GPA, you must be in good standing with the University, you must attend at least 2 meetings per months, and you must be a Clarion University student. If your GPA is below 2.0 or you are not in good standing with the University we will give you two full semesters to fix the issues. If by the end of those 2 semesters nothing has changed, we will advise you to remove yourself from the club and focus on fixing the issues. If you would like to join this club then you should talk to the President, VP, or advisor of this club. There are no membership fees for this club. The only circumstances that we would dismiss a member would be: ● If they were to be caught stealing from a member of the club, or any products for the club. ● If they are to continuously bully members in the club: such as name calling, fat shaming, any sort of emotional or physical abuse. ARTICLE 4 - DUTIES AND ELECTIONS OF THE OFFICERS. The President’s role in the club will be to: ● Reserve rooms for meetings/presentations. ● Van reservations through CSA as needed. ● Coordination of speaker/events. ● Maintenance of email account, club mailbox, and CU connect. ● Fundraising. ● Create any pictures or artwork for social media posts, as well as make posts. The Vice President’s role in the club will be to: ● Assist president with meeting details, and coordination of events. ● Email Society Members/Professors of upcoming Society events. ● Fill in for President if they are absent. ● Fundraising. ● Post on social media and promote. The President and Vice President’s roles tend to overlap and do the same work together. The Treasurer’s role in the club will be to: ● Prepare all budgets as necessary. ● Prepare all payment requests and maintain possession of original copies. The Secretary’s role in the club will be to: ● Maintain attendance. ● Maintain calendar of events. An officer shall be required to resign if he or she does not perform their duties after being warned. Duties are not limited to the descriptions above and are subject to change in accordance to The VP or President’s preference. All of the members roles in this club are to make everyone feel safe and welcomed, and to have a positive atmosphere throughout every meeting and/or event. ARTICLE 5 - ROLE OF CAMPUS ADVISOR. The advisor does not need to come to meetings or events if they do not like, they will need to assist in any conflicts if they arise. ARTICLE 6 - MEETINGS. We will have 16-17 meetings per semester, band we will have an hour and a half meeting each week on Wednesdays. The quorum minimum is 8 meetings. The majority number we will need for any changes will be over half of the club. Officers will meet 15 minutes beforehand to touch base and discuss any matters beforehand. Our meetings will be based around activities and any of our members will always be open to suggesting ideas or new things to do. We will always start the meeting off with attendance, and any news we have. If we have and/or need special meetings the President and Vice President will call them, we will give members a two day warning and we will notify them through email. ARTICLE 7 - FINANCES AND FUNDING. There will not be any dues, but there will be a list of suggested items for them to have or buy for them to fully participate in the club. Funding for club activities will be solicited from the student senate. Additional funds may be raised by club members through University approved fundraisers. ARTICLE 8 - AMENDING, SUSPENDING, AND ACCEPTING. The Bylaws can be changed if there are any significant changes the officers or members think need to be done. We will need at least over half of the club members to vote for there to be change in the Bylaws. Amendments must be drafted and proposed at the meeting prior to which they are voted on. All changes to the Bylaws will be approved by the Student Senate, the Vice President of Student Affairs, and the President of Clarion University. ARTICLE 9 - RATIFICATION. These Bylaws, and it’s amendments, shall become effective upon ratification by the officers and members of Lash Out and following the approval of the Student Senate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and the vice president for student & university affairs, and the president of Clarion University.
