Lift Every Voice Gospel Choir Board Meeting Minutes: October 15, 2015

Meeting starts 5:05
Reminders:
Penn Hills trip is still on. A list of name was sent to Dr. Dede and will not
be change. Fair is fair. We will leave at 11:45 on Saturday and will return
that night after dinner. The keys will be picked up on Friday for the vans.
Methodist Church is this Sunday at 8:30; we will arrive at 8:15. The
performance is at the 8:30 am service and the 11:00 am service.
I.

Church Service
a. October 25, 2015 at noon.
b. Theme Philippians 3:13.
c. Breakfast MAYBE served depends on budget.
d. Last church service of the semester will be November 8th

II.

Gospel Fest
1. Established budget is $600
b. The following schools and churches will be invited:
c. Invites will be sent out Wednesday October 21 to ensure enough
time for a decision.

i. Green, Black, Brown balloons
ii. Music note balloons (Angel’s mom)

v. Banner (Aaricka’s brother)
vi. Green and Brown cups, forks, napkins
e. Clothes and Dress Code
i. Colors are still:
1. Beige (pants or skirt)
2. Black (collard shirt, pants or dress)
3. White (collard shirt or pants)
4. Army accent (scarves and bow ties)
a. The rest will be ordered soon
b. Please no bodycon dresses or skirts and no
tight pants.
ii. Week of Worship
1. Nov 19th is table day to promote the event into its
finally days.
2. Nov 15th is a potluck at my house

a. Angel and Dani will collab to make two
more programs

III.

T-shirts
a. White T-shirt design made by Melaiya
i. Board votes and approves of design.
ii. Order will be made soon, possibly will ask choir for a
minimum of $5 to aid in cost.

IV.

Reports:
a. Aaricka: Will ask choir’s opinion on what is the issue with
attendance.
b. Angel: In the process of making Praise and Worship, also will
teach a song on Sunday.
c. Rondell: No report

d. Melaiya: Will make Gospel Fest flyer asap
e. Whitney: no report
