CROSS COUNTRY 1975 BLOOMSBURG STATE COLLEGE OUTLOOK The BSC cross country team is optimistic. The Huskies' goal is to improve their 5-4 record and 7th place finish in the Pennsylvania Conference. With six lettermen plus some good freshmen recruits, Coach Puhl and Lou Gunderman, student assistant and 1974 team member, feel that the team is ready to meet the challenge of a difficult schedule. Puhl said, "We are going to try to represent BSC and its winning tradition. We hope to run among the best." In addition to his teaching assignments in Health and Physical Education, he is in his first year as _ cross country coach, tenth as head track coach and has also served as assistant football coach from 1966 through 1970. A native of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Puhl was a three letter winner in football, swimming, and track and field while at Lock Haven State College from 1957 to 1961. He began his coaching career at the Phoenixville Area Sen .ior High School where he served as varsity track and field head c_oach for several years. He was named to the N.A.I.A. "Little All-American Team" in 1960 for football and was a Pennsylvania State College Champion in the 220 yard low hurdles in 1961.
