The team has Tom Sweitzer, 9-2 at the number one position; Dick Grace, 11-0 at the numbet five position; and Tom Leedom, 10-1 at the number six position retum,ng for the '73 season. Sweitzer, a former ranked Middle States iunior, will probably ptay number two this year behfnd freshman Orew Hostetter, a number four ranked Middle States junior and semifinatist in the state high school tournament, at the number one position. Freshman Bill Hoefel, also a ranked junior, wm pfay number three, at which,. if he plays up to his potentiat, wm be unbeatable at that PQsition. Manheim Manheim Cen.tfat COACH BURT REESE BURTON REESE joined the Physical Education staff of Bloomsburg State College in January, 1969, and since that time has served as head tennis coach and assistant basketball coach. A native of Taylor, Pennsylvania, he earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees at East Stroudsburg State College. He played varsity tennis and varsity basketball and co-captained both teams in his senior year. While working on his master's degree, he coached basketball and tennis as a graduate assistant. He then joined the faculty of Old Forge High School, Pennsylvania, where he was assistant basketball and football coach. He served as athletic director at Abington Heights where he coached tennis, with a 45-6 record, and junior high basketball. Reese was ranked 10th in Men's Singles in the Middle States tennis area and plays sanctioned tournaments throughout the summer. Coach Reese states, "This year's team, although very young, has a great deal of experience in tournament play and should be competitive in all of its matches."
