With seven members from last year's team returning, prospects for improving last year's record of 3 wins and 5 losses and an 11th place finish in the Pennsylvania State College Meet appears promising. Leading the returnees are two golfers, George Miller and Bill Bloom who, if their game shapes up early enough, will be tough competitors on most courses. These two players were comparatively equal last year and alternated at the one and two playing positions. Following close behind are three golfers who have worked hard on their game since last May with the hooe of adding depth to the team. They are - John Kwasnoski, Ray Herbert and Phil Haile. The two n :maining returnees, Alex Dubil and Rick Heller, have indicated their swings are better grooved and better scores are in the making. Two newcomers, who appear to be good prospects, are Larry Edwards, Sophomore, and John Vasil, a transfer from Keystone Junior College. Other untired candidates are Mike Heitz, Fred Dute, Bob Marina, Ron Lovus, and Mike Morrow. Farina and Morrow were regular members of this year's Basketball Squad. With the first match scheduled for April 9th, the Squad will be cut to about eight members by April 1st. There are several outstanding Freshmen candidates who, due to the Freshman rule, will have to wait a year for varsity competition. It is hoped a practice match or two can be scheduled for the Freshmen.
