June 30, 2000 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: LOCAL STUDENT RECEIVES SCHOLARSHIP Edinboro University of Pennsylvania has announced that Joe Capezzuto, West Alexander, was recently named the recipient of the Frank G. Pogue Scholarship. This scholarship was created in recognition of Dr. Pogue’s inauguration as Edinboro University’s 15* president and the celebration of the University’s 140* anniversary. The scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman or upperclass student who meets all of the criteria required to participate in the Edinboro University Honors Program. The student must be enrolled full time. This prestigious scholarship is renewable through the completion of 128 credits provided the student maintains an overall cumulative Q.P.A. of 3.30 or better. Financial need is not a factor. Joe is the son of Joseph Capezzuto and Donna Capezzuto. This scholarship is an annual award which is made available to an entering freshman with a minimum S.A.T. score of 1000 and an upper 2/5 class rank in high school. Wood Accounting Scholarship. This scholarship provides an annual award to an incoming freshman accounting major who has exhibited high academic achievement in high school, who scored 1000 or greater on the SATs and who graduated in the upper 2/5 of his/her graduating class. In addition, this award once given will be continued for a four year period if a QPA is maintained. This scholarship is in honor of Russell M. Wood. Einancial need is a consideration.
