We recognized and thanked the amazing professors and students who present enrichment meetings, teach Honors courses, oversee Honors Contracts, and overall go above and beyond for the program. Flight 93 Memorial Students and Faculty visited the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville,PA. Students in the Honors seminar “Crimes against Humanity, Humanity against Crimes” have been studying the 9/11 attacks this semester. Such as, having access to scheduling early, having the opportunity to view a variety of enrichment meetings on campus and also getting to know different people on campus. Being in the Honors college has kept me motivated and inspired me to always do my very best.” Name: Brianna Hoehnke Hometown: Columbus, OH Major: Illustration Minors: Metalsmithing and Art History “Being a member of the Honors College provided me with opportunities to attend many interesting and fun enrichment meetings such as Dr. Solberg's Halloween night. I also benefited from priority scheduling the Honors College grants.” 7 Name: Abigail Morrow Hometown: North East, PA Major: Communication Sciance and Disorders Minors: Deaf Studies and Psychology Post-graduation plans: “I will be staying in Edinboro and continuing my education to get my masters in speech-language pathology.” “The Honors College has provided me so much within the last four years. We wish you the absolute best on your future endeavors! Thank You, Dr. Solberg As all of us know, Dr. Solberg will be retiring from his role of Honors Director and Professor at Edinboro University. Dr. Solberg has been an English professor at Edinboro since 1989, and has been the Honors College Director since 2017. To his honors students he was more than just the Honors College Director. He served as a role model, mentor, Horror Film expert, and Jeopardy contestant extraordinaire. On behalf of the Honors Students, we want to thank Dr. Solberg for his dedication and hard-work for not only to the program but to his students. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors and congratulate him on his retirement.
