The Fighting Scots advanced to the tourney title match with an 83-58 victory over Daemen, fueled by 19 points from Heather Gates and 17 points apiece from Meghan Miller and Jessica Rowe. West Liberty defeated St. Michael’s to reach the title tilt, but the Boro grabbed an 18-point halftime lead and was never seriously chal­ lenged in the second half. Mercyhurst, meanwhile, boosted its record to 3-2 with a 71-54 win over Roberts Wesleyan the same evening. St. Vincent, the Lady Lakers’ foe on Saturday, is 4-2 after winning once in three outings at last weekend’s National Catholic Basketball Tournament in Dubuque, Iowa.
